Renderings

Renderings are the foundation of what 3D Plans does.  A rendering is a computer-generated drawing.  We can print out the renderings on photo paper, deliver it to you on CD, send it via email, or all three.  We do all types of renderings - photorealistic, illustrated, hidden line, ink line, etc.  See the portfolio page for a sample of each type.  Typical turnaround for a single rendering is about 3 days.

Animations

Animations are "moving" renderings.  It is similar to watching a movie or video clip from a first-person, behind-the-camera perspective, but of the interior or exterior of your design.  Animations take much longer to create, but they are more interesting to view and have a much higher visual impact than still renderings.  Imagine being able to "walk through" or "fly by" a totally realistic representation of your building.  Animations are truly stunning.

Shadow / Sunlight Studies

Many designers and architects prefer to see how sunlight will effect the aesthetics of their design.  Because our renderings are "physically based" we can show you a true and accurate representation of how your design will look at any given time and day of the year.  Want to see how your design will look at 1:30 P.M. on May 25th?  No problem.  The computer makes the calculations.  We can even show you an animation of an entire day - from sunrise to sunset and how it will illuminate and shade different parts of your landscape and design throughout the day.

Alternative Material Studies

Have you ever been unsure about a building material, texture, or paint color decision?  Maybe you feel that you should have incorporated a lighter shade of brick or used silver mullions instead of black.  Perhaps the interior needed more yellow or you should have gone with hard wood flooring instead of carpet.  Because 3D Plans "builds" your design in a computerized environment, material changes can be made almost instantly and re-rendered within 24 hours.  The differing results can be compared side by side to help you make that important decision.

Alternative Design Studies

Similar to material studies, design studies look at two or more varying designs.  Need to make last minute structural changes but you're not sure how it will look or if you are satisfied with the changes?  Let us make those changes for you - visually.  We can have them ready and re-rendered for you in no time.  Give us several designs to render and then pick your favorite.  We make the decision process simple.  Maybe you're a home owner and you're not sure if you want a cathedral ceiling in the family room.  Let us show you how several types of ceiling designs will look and then you can make the decision.
